My actual method of Web page creation lays on a "pure Html" approach (as we said in our introduction page), strenghtened by some tools.
Preliminary elements
The knowledge of Html. Is is easy to find in books or in the web (for instance the Html Guide, in french).
A multi-documents text editor. The Windows notepad is not practical, because it is opened as many times a text is opened. The Windows Wordpad is too heavy, because it has to manage rich texts format. So I prefer the freeware NoteTab, very practical with its sheets. To get it, see in our site of the Pressibus Freeware.
In the same site, you will get Arachnophilia, an Html editor, useful for some manipulations.
Always in the Pressibus Freewares, you will found BK ReplaceEm, two programs, also useful.
Pure Html-pur, with copy-paste
I directly work the Html in NoteTab. All my pages are constructed on the same simple principles, so I create an empty page by copying an existing page and removing the non essential things. Then I modify and add.
I add new titles or I introduce others elements/examples from others pages, by copying/pasting (Ctrl Ins - Maj Ins, or Ctrl C - Ctrl V), and I modify.
The NoteTab allows to create some macro (commands in the "clipbook"), and it is useful to execute quickly the repetitive tasks, or to have a quick help when using some unuseless tags.
I do so that the page is the more elastic as possible in width and resolution, and this is done with the more simple syntax. Good thing...
I do incessant travels between the editor and the browser, to add-test-correct.
Some conversions and controls
I use Arachnophilia for the "site analyser" to verify links (very useful !). I also know that it may help me to import tables.
Knowing how to do massive corrections
BK ReplaceEm is a search and replace utility that allows to do massive corrections on one site. For example, to replace one colour by another, or to replace the blanks before interrogations points by insecable blanks, so that there are no ! at the beginning of the file.
Also, the search function of Windows give me all the pages containing a characters chain , so that I may do a more selective correction.
Free !
Here you are not the prisonner of a publication software or a Html editor. No versions to change, no rigidity... You are only the prisonner of the Html language....
